OPUS 24 - General Info
OPUS 24 - TGS Composers:
I encourage you to work on your piece when you have time. Watch for my comments on your piece in Noteflight. Please read them when you have a chance.
This is also a good time to go into the VT Midi Project website and work on your piece description (FULL DESCRIPTION) and personal information (Click on your name>Edit Profile>Discussion).
If you do update your piece, let the composers know what you did in DISCUSSION. And you can send me an email to let me know too so I can approve it.
All links are available on the right hand side of this Music Page.
Call me at home or email me if you need any help.
Good luck!

If you want to post your work for mentoring feedback from the composers, but don't feel ready to try the following instructions, just send me an email telling me your piece is updated and I will export it and post it for you. For the brave techies, here are the instructions to post yourself:
** IN NOTEFLIGHT: CLICK ON SHARE AND COPY YOUR NOTEFLIGHT LINK (control-C)
** EXPORT YOUR NOTEFLIGHT FILE TO .xml FILE AND SAVE
-- Create a folder for your OPUS 24 work on your desktop.
-- In NOTEFLIGHT, select FILE menu>Export>.xml file to your desktop Opus 24 folder.
-- Do this every time you update your piece. Use a different name each time: e.g. mypiece_opus24_1.xml; mypiece_opus24_2.xml; etc.
** POST YOUR WORK ON THE VT MIDI PROJECT WEBSITE
Log on to VT Midi Project website http://www.vtmidi.org/
The first time you post, go to DISCUSSION and paste your Noteflight link. This never changes.
Every time you update your piece, you need to UPLOAD the updated .xml file from your desktop folder.
In DISCUSSION you will read your composer comments, respond to their questions, and let the composers know what changes or additions you've made to your piece. You do not need to repost the Noteflight link once it's posted. If you can, send me an email to let me know you have an update for me to approve.
Go to FULL DESCRIPTION to update details about your piece and a full description, including what instruments you are writing for and what you have in mind for your piece, e.g. how long it will be, what story you are trying to tell, why you chose a major or minor key signature, the emotional content of the piece, etc.
To update PERSONAL INFORMATION, what you want to write about yourself, click on your Name>Edit Profile>DESCRIPTION to type your personal biographical info.
Links to Inside MUSIC and VT Midi Project are available on the right hand side of my Music Page http://tgsmusicpage.blogspot.com/
Call me at home or email me if you need any help. I'd love to know you were working out there!
Good luck!
